This website

The website is static. It sets no cookies and loads no trackers, analytics scripts, fonts or other resources from third parties. Your browser may store the colour scheme you picked in the documentation in its local storage; this is a technical setting that stays on your device.

The hosting provider processes the technical data of every request (IP address, time, requested page, user agent) in server logs for operation and security. [Hosting provider, location and retention period follow.]

The bot

When Nyx Bot is added to a Discord server, it processes the data Discord sends to it: server, channel, role, user and message IDs, usernames, member lists and, for the features a server configures, message content (for example logging, automod and tags). Message content is stored only for configured features and only for a limited time: 7 days in Free, 30 days in Pro. Users can opt out of message storage; servers can shorten the retention.

Ticket transcripts and attachments are stored for the retention period of the server’s plan (90 days in Free, 2 years in Pro) and can be deleted by server admins at any time.

The dashboard

The dashboard uses Discord’s OAuth2 login with the scopes identify and guilds. We store your Discord user ID and the list of servers you manage for the duration of the session; the Discord access token stays on the server side and is never exposed to the browser.

Payments

Subscriptions are sold through Discord (Premium Apps) or through Stripe on this website. [Details on the payment providers, the data they process and the data processing agreements follow with the Pro launch.]

AI features (Pro)

AI features send excerpts of the texts they work on (for example a ticket conversation or a message to be moderated) to our AI provider under a data processing agreement. Which data goes to which provider is listed on the feature page before you enable a feature. The AI never bans, kicks or deletes on its own; it proposes, and the rules of the server decide.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection under the GDPR, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Requests go to the e-mail address above. Data export and deletion for servers and users will be available as self-service in the dashboard.
